The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is a unified standard for implementing minimum cybersecurity standards in the entire supply chain of the Department of Defense. According to estimates it will be mandatory for over 300,000 suppliers, including the nation’s largest manufacturers, small businesses, sub-contractors
and foreign suppliers who handle or produce sensitive defense material or information.
These contractors will need to complete a CMMC assessment and certification, that
has to be renewed every 3 years.
